Atherton Chic
Highly curated and finding harmony in asymmetry
Atherton, CA
“If a library must have bookshelves, then make them look cool” is what our fashionista client said. That became our mantra in the spaces we designed for this busy working couple with two young kids. Function, but elevated.
Some of the angled bookshelves in the library have wallpapered backs and some are lacquered. This harmony in asymmetry is carried throughout the home. The dining room is curated with pieces that are special and custom-made. We replaced an uninspiring dual-sided fireplace, upgrading to a modern surround featuring natural stone mosaic and a solid brass mantel.
Stay tuned for more from this Atherton home — we’re currently working on completing the living room, pool house kitchen, powder room, and her-closet.
